Our approach to problem solving values simple, robust, and innovative answers to the engineering challenges we seek to overcome.
Design Development
Schematic Design
During schematic design, Uni-Systems Engineering lays out the general arrangement of system components. Deliverables for this phase of design:
- General arrangement and geometry drawings.
- Concept drawings.
- Framing layouts.
- Track/guide way layouts.
- Typical cross sections of the mechanization system’s integration with the surrounding structure.
- A schematic design narrative.
- A set of preliminary operating parameters.
- A preliminary hazard analysis and safety plan.
- A preliminary budget estimate for completing design and construction.
Detailed Design
During design development, Uni-Systems Engineering further develops the mechanization design concept and completely defines its interfaces with the surrounding structure. Deliverables for this phase of design:
- General arrangement and geometry drawings.
- Drive/mechanization drawings with all major components sized and defined.
- Framing layouts with all members sized and geometry defined.
- Track/guide way layouts with all members sized and connections to fixed structure defined.
- Typical cross sections of the mechanization system’s integration with the surrounding structure.
- A design narrative and performance specification.
- A preliminary work plan/schedule for completion of design/construction.
- A scope of work definition for completing the design and supply of the mechanization system.
- A scope responsibility matrix for all other associated work.
- A formal hazard analysis and safety plan and a stipulated sum proposal for Uni-Systems to complete the design and supply.
At the conclusion of this design phase the team has all of the information required to complete their construction documents
