The remote storage and retrieval system consists of modular storage cubes and a mobile workstation that the operator drives horizontally and vertically to access inventory stored in the cubes.

The system interfaces with existing inventory control software, and automatically sets the most efficient retrieval route. The remote storage and retrieval system exponentially increased storage space, and also provided a safe and efficient system for inventory storage and retrieval at a fraction of the cost of other solutions.
Uni-Systems Engineering designed, supplied, and installed the structure and electro-mechanical drive system for the remote storage and retrieval system at AEI Electronics. An elevator car rides up and down inside of a frame, and the frame moves back and forth along a single rail, resulting in horizontal, vertical, and diagonal movement.
