Job Summary

Uni-Systems Engineering is looking for a Junior Project Manager who is eager to manage some world-renowned projects! This position is responsible for assisting a Project Lead in in the overall organization of the company’s assigned large projects. Primary responsibilities are procurement, fabrication, and installation support, along with shipping and logistics. Duties will include, but are not limited to, electronic document management, writing and processing purchase orders, organizing, tracking, and facilitating the documentation for inventory control and quality control on a project-by-project basis. Coordinate interactions and issues between our team members and the vendors/fabricators schedules. Develop shipping scheduling and handle the logistics of all project deliverables at every stage of the project.  Assist the Project Leads with technical communications of all facets: presentations, project documents for the onsite project team, vendors, and clients. Arrange travel and lodging of team members to project sites. This position may include duties such as filling, record keeping, and maintenance of company records.

Some specific responsibilities are:

  • Provide assistance and feedback to Project Leads, and develop solid working relationships with team members, suppliers, and clients
  • Request and file quotes from vendors
  • Work with Engineers and Designers on process for selecting components and sourcing for projects
  • Confirming schedules, materials and other requirements per the Project Engineer or Lead’s directions
  • Creating and sending purchase orders with required drawings, painting/plating specifications to vendors or fabricators
  • Single point of contact to advise the assembly warehouse on shipment schedule to meet project goals
  • Work on estimates and budgeting documents under the direction of Project Lead

Job Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Education and experience commensurate with Associates Degree or related technical training
  • Project management experience related to construction is advantageous

Skills and Abilities

  • Aptitude for technical work, organization and/or technical writing
  • Strong computer skills; proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Adobe FrameMaker, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Communicates effectively across all organizational levels with management, employees, vendors, and clients
  • Excellent verbal and written skills to communicate effectively with management, employees, vendors, and customers
  • Able to work extensively with complex technical documentation and technology tools to create a broad range of communication, training, and presentation materials
  • Strong attention to detail, managing work that requires deadlines, ability to multi-task, handling interruptions and re-ordering critical tasks as the occur throughout the day
  • Reliable and dependable; uses excellent organizational, administrative, and time management skills to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrates initiative, accuracy, and professionalism in producing quality work
