The Minute Maid Park 1860’s replica ornamental train is a Houston icon, celebrating home runs and other Astros’ feats.
Minute Maid Park
Ornamental Train
Uni-Systems Engineering designed, supplied, and installed the ornamental train at Minute Maid Park. The train is 56 feet long, weighs 48,000 pounds, and travels up to 2.5 miles per hour along 800 feet of track atop the left-field wall.
The push button control system automatically provides 18 different sound sequences, including train pistons chuffing, the engine chugging, and music for ‘Take Me Out to the Ballgame’.
